During our final session of Pam Montgomery’s Plant Spirit Healing Apprenticeship at Partner Earth Education Centre this past October, Pam and her partner, Mark Carlin, held a Sweat Lodge for our class and the following poem is offered in honour of this Sacred Ceremony, in the full context of my original sharing:

Beautiful Beings,

Thank you for sharing these past months together…was sitting in the womb of my living room early this morning, in the quiet dark, sipping on hot coffee, and enjoying that full, contented sense of peace…and I feel an impulse within to share words that are flowing from that stream of Beauty that travels through each of us,

The lodge womb holds us fast to mother Earth,

Sitting on the edge of the fiery heart of Love

We travel through stars and galaxies

on a stream of prayer

Navigating from great desire manifest in Intention

Oh Sacred Beauty that stirs in my soul

Lead me to your Innermost Well of Being

How I have longed for Thee

And here, in this beautiful womb,

We breathe together

And find within

That which dwells in the Holy Heart of Peace

May the jewel that is you root, grow, and flower in the coming months, may you weep when the remembrance of You clears away shadows of grief and fear, may your Rumi heart lay bare that which is essential

With respect, love, and gratitude,

Danielle
